In addition to its nice and detailed appearance, this version of a motorized 42056 PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS is renovated to have features including RC driving and 4-speed gearbox shifting, and LED lights as well. The majority of this RC remodeling is limited to the chassis (or power-train) of 42056 PORSCHE that is composed of front/rear axis, power transmission and steering units. The changes and features of the renovated PORSCHE chassis are as follows
I. Mounted drive motors (PF L-motor 4x)
II. Mounted a steering motor (PF S-motor 1x)
III. Modified gear shifting method not using the paddle shift (PF M-motor 1x)
IV. Restructured the 4-speed sequential gearbox to enhance the durability and the efficiency of power transmission enough to climb a slight up-hill (at the physical limit of LEGO gear parts)
V. Mounted two PF rechargeable battery boxes
VI. Mounted two SBRICKs for the remote control capability
VII. Even though not included in this building instruction file, front head-ramp and rear tail-ramp are equipped with a pair of PF LED lights. Thus, how to installing these LED rights is on your disposal
VIII. While including all of the above modifications, it maintains major design and features of the original 42056 model.

In the linked PDF instruction file, we show you step-by-step procedures in detail to assemble the renovated 42056 chassis of MOR(my own renovation) version, namely, “the motorized 42056 PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS version 1.1”.
The most important thing that you should notice is that this building instruction is equivalent to that of BOX #1 in the original 42056 model. Thus you can reuse the other building instructions in the original 42056 model (BOX #2 ~ 4) to put the remaining parts of the PORSCHE body together.
Finally I recommend, only when your PORSCHE is running down-hill, you use the 4th speed. By default, the gear ratio between driving motors and 4-speed transmission is set as an accelerating ratio of 1:1.25. With this gear ratio, you will not feel a satisfactory difference between the 3rd and the 4th speed on the plane ground, due to the rack of driving power enough to accelerate the heavy body of 42056 PORSCHE. When you wish a noticeable difference between 3rd and 4th speed, I suggest you change the gear ratio into a decelerating ratio, for example, 1:0.8. However, there must be a trade-off! This change of gear ratio shall result in the overall decrease of running speed. Do not change the gear ratio between 4-speed transmission gears as they are already optimized to meet the objective of this MOD.
