42078 SBrick RC + Suspension + Powered Coupling

This is a MOC of 42078 base on the MPD file from jb70's MOC. The suspension system was copied from the Freizeit opfer's Design. And the powered coupling function was inspired by his design too. But I used 2 fishing lines instead of the hard-to-get flex cable from 8444.

  • 2x L-motors for driving
  • 1x Servo-motor for steering
  • 1x m-motor for powered coupling
  • All 3 axles are suspended

SBrick is not in the part list.

Fishing lines is not in the part list either. You could use some black lines.

The left side should be installed first.

Then the right side line.

The steering system has been modified to make it working with the suspended front axle. The bonus is that the steering wheel won't be off center anymore.

I'd like to build this MOC but my problems start with the parts needed. What amount of parts do I need? For example in the overview section part 32013 is  listed with 6 times needed. When I click on the part it suddenly says I need 24... Part 32524 is listed one time, in the part summary it shows I need it 13 times...
What amount is right? I already put my 42078 set into my set list.

I have just uploaded the additional part list for building from the original 42078 truck tractor. If you find any error, please let me know.

Very Nice MODs. You have noted that the M-motor is for the power coupling but in the file there seems to be something missing - the red 2L axle does not connect to anything and there is the big "?" that accompanies a missing part (after opening it in Studio). What do you mean by power coupling

It's for the fishing lines. The idea is to use the M motor to pull the fish lines which are connected to the hitch to couple or decouple. There is a 32449 on the left side between the filler and the left cabin wall. It should be connected to the 6628 at the right side of the hitch. And the red 2L axle is to be connected to the 6628 at the left side of the hitch. The axle can go through the guide holes on the path. So it should be connected after the left side. I'm still working on a guide to show how to connect them.
The instruction was built using LDCAD. The big "?"s in Studio are SBrick, flex axles and PF wires.
