The Caterham project has been on Lego Ideas for about two years before reaching ten thousand votes and being approved into an official set. I wasn't expecting it to be choosen, honestly, but i'm happy to be wrong. Lego car lovers will be enthusiastic of this set, that, despite being a different theme, joins the recent wave of similar scaled cars like the F40, the Volkswagen Beetle, The Mini Cooper, etc.
The new addition to the Winter Village: 10254: Winter Holiday Train. The series started in 2009, and had a new set every year, except for last year. In 2015 LEGO released a re-release of the 10199 Toy Shop, the 10249 Toy Shop. Many were wondering what would come this year. Will LEGO bring something new, or will they make another re-release. That question is now answered: LEGO released a brand new set! Let's see how it will fit in the Winter Village.
When The Disney Castle was first revealed, I knew I had to have it :) It is certainly an impressive set due to it's size and is instantly recognisable by pretty much anyone. The Disney Castle contains lots of playable features from various Disney movies, some obvious while others were not so obvious (at least to me).
Back in 2014, I met with LEGO to talk about Rebrickable and throw around some ideas for making something awesome together. The one thing that stood out for them was how Rebrickable highlights the value of alternate builds - i.e. MOCs that can be built from just a single official set. With the Rebrickable Build calculations making these MOCs stand out with 100% matching results, they have proven very popular among users. For the last ~6 months, I have been working closely with a select few Rebrickable designers and a small group within LEGO to build out a new website. Now finally, after 2 years, we have something to show for this effort – LEGO Remake.
